It’s been a minute — but we’re excited to say: Black Young Professionals of Metro Detroit is officially relaunching!
After taking time to pause, reflect, and reimagine our purpose, we’re coming back stronger than ever. Since 2015, BYP has hosted over 170 events, helping thousands of young Black professionals find community, create meaningful connections, and choose Detroit as the place to thrive.
As Detroit evolves, so must we. This relaunch is about embracing the energy of a new era—welcoming engineers, digital media creators, local agricultural professionals, and emerging leaders—while staying grounded in the legacy that brought us here.
Our official relaunch event will be August 9, 2025.
We can’t wait to reconnect, rebuild, and reintroduce BYP to the city — with fresh energy, new ideas, and the same commitment to creating space for young Black professionals to grow, lead, and belong. Whether you’ve rocked with us from day one or you’re just discovering BYP, we want you in the loop.
